This is a billet aluminum strut tower brace from M7 Speed that ties the left and right front strut towers together to reduce chassis flex under cornering load. It uses 1/2-inch-thick end plates that sandwich the sheet metal and shock top plate ('anti-mushrooming' design) to reinforce the strut towers and increase front-end torsional stiffness, is CNC-machined from billet aluminum with a matte black powder coat finish, keeps a modular design for access to the oil filter and other underhood components, and installs in about 20 minutes using the factory strut-top nuts.
Fitment: MINI Cooper S, chassis R52 and R53 'S' models, fitted with the W11B16A supercharged engine (not compatible with non-S R50/R52 Coopers due to hood clearance).
