This genuine BMW engine block coolant drain plug is threaded M14x1.5 and installed in the side of the engine block to allow the cooling system to be fully drained during a coolant flush or major engine service. It is supplied with a crush washer for a proper seal against the block; reusing an old, hardened washer is a common cause of a weeping coolant leak at this plug.
