Continental (VDO) camshaft position sensor for the classic BMW M52/S52 inline-six. Tells the DME the camshaft's rotational position so it can time fuel injection and ignition correctly; a failing sensor causes hard starting, random stalling, or a rough-running engine. Mounted on the left side of the cylinder head near the front of the engine.

Fitment: BMW 3 Series/5 Series/7 Series/Z3 - E36 (323i/328i and M3), E39 528i, E38, and Z3/Z3 M with the M52 or S52 engine (confirm exact engine at checkout).
